Well, I’ve had Windows 98 for a few days, and I have to agree with c|net’s view — Win98 has a lot of new features, and it’s more stable than Win95, but it’s probably not worth the money. What kinda ticks me off is that it costs as much as Windows 95 cost three years ago. Yes, the new stuff is nice, but this is hardly the quantum leap Windows 95 was.
Meanwhile, my system still refuses to recognize the floppy drive and my new joystick, and the tape drive is another issue. Upgrading has proved to be much more difficult than I imagined….
